Readmefirst file for the Tintin Moon Rocket:

Read this document and the instruction sets BEFORE beginning the kit.

This model kit consists of the following documents:
	Tinreadmefirst.txt: this document
Tindmloc.pdf:	A key for locating parts on the part sheets
Tindmparts.pdf:	The parts and building aids for the model
	Tindmins.pdf:	The basic building instructions
Tindmdetail.pdf: Instructions for adding interior detail
Compass.pdf:	A discussion on the use of beam compasses.

Print all Tindmparts.pdf pages in landscape mode on either A4 or 8.5 x
11 inch paper. The box surrounding the parts measures 7.25" x 10"
(184.1 x 254 mm).

Part pages 1-11 should be printed on matte-finish white cardstock.
The model was designed assuming 0.0065" (0.165mm) thickness, which
corresponds to 36# (165gpm) paper. If you use thicker card, the body
and pod frames may need to be sanded down slightly to fit properly.

Pages 10 and 11 consist entirely of optional parts. If you don't
plan to detail the interior, then these parts are not needed.

Page 12 consists of a diagram indicating the location of the parts.
It may be printed on ordinary typing paper.

All the pages with letters added (ie., 1A, 2A, etc)are used to locate
the centers of the curved edges of the various parts. If you don't
intend to use a beam compass to cut those edges, you don't need those
sheets (except for sheet 9A and possibly 1A, 1B, and 1C, see below).
If used, these sheets should be printed on ordinary duplicator or
typewriter paper (20#, typically).

Sheet 9A contains glue tabs for the landing gear bumpers, which are
required for assembly. Thin paper is important. Use 20# or lighter
paper for this sheet. Sheets 1A, 1B, and 1C contain alternate thick-
ness versions of parts 20d and 20e, which may be needed.

The instructions and other documents should be printed in portrait
mode on any type of A4 or 8.5 x 11 paper.
